BOY's Special Person

JCK's children do not have homework per se. However, they do have family projects every trimester. It's a wonderful thing, but it kicks JCK's ass. And, the derriere is flat to begin with...

This year, BOY's project is to choose a "Special Person" who interests him. This person can be a friend, relative, artist, fire fighter, police person, athlete, president, business owner, co-worker, grandparent, etc. He is to interview and research that person, and the family will create together a poster board with details, photographs, images, drawings, and facts about this special person.

JCK: BOY, you need to decide who you would like to interview and do your project on.

BOY: On you, Mom. I want to do it on you.

JCK: Well, that is very sweet BOY, but I don't think you are supposed to do it on your mom. What about an E.M.T. or a firefighter? It can be anyone! A grandparent? You can even interview them on the phone. It doesn't have to be someone you know. It could be someone you don't know. I can help you.

BOY: I want to do it on you, Mom. I choose you.

JCK: Well...

BOY: I'm just going to say this for my project: She is a BLOGGER. That's what she does. She blogs .....I hope my friends don't think that is boring.

  2. He is a hoot! But, at least he didn't say, "She COOKS, or she CLEANS". (I get the feeling you are going to say "That's because I don't do those things!") ; )
